The ZilBridge Testnet Beta Testing event has ended. However, community members are still welcomed to test out the bridge on zilswap.io/bridge (Testnet).
On 15 July, the monumental ZilBridge was launched on Zilliqa Testnet for public beta testing. Community members were invited to join in the testing and provide feedback on how they thought the bridge could be improved between 15 to 22 July 2021.
All community members are encouraged to try out the ZilBridge by interacting with the UI on zilswap.io/bridge (Testnet) and conducting the following token transfers between the Ethereum and Zilliqa networks:
From Zilliqa Testnet -> Ethereum Ropsten Testnet
Move Testnet ZIL from Zilliqa to Ethereum (as wrapped eZIL)
Move Testnet ZWAP from Zilliqa to Ethereum (as wrapped eZWAP)
Move wrapped zETH from Zilliqa to Ethereum (as Ropsten Testnet ETH)
Move wrapped zDAI from Zilliqa to Ethereum (as Ropsten Testnet DAI)
From Ethereum Ropsten Testnet -> Zilliqa Testnet
Move Testnet ETH from Ethereum to Zilliqa (as wrapped zETH)
Move Testnet DAI from Ethereum to Zilliqa (as wrapped zDAI)
Move wrapped eZWAP from Ethereum to Zilliqa (as ZWAP)
Move wrapped eZIL from Ethereum to Zilliqa (as ZIL)
The following outlines where/how you can obtain the supported Testnet tokens:

From 8 to 21 July 2021, we will be collecting feedback and suggestions from the community on how they envision the bridge can be improved via this feedback form. Feedback/suggestions will be evaluated by the Zilliqa and Switcheo Teams based on their practicality and benefit to the ZilBridge and the general Zilliqa ecosystem.
Up to 5,000 USD worth of ZIL rewards will be distributed to eligible participants at the end of this two-week-long campaignโranging between US$5 and US$200.
Feedback type | Reward |
Bug Report | USD10 โ USD200 worth of $ZIL per valid bug report |
UI Suggestion | USD5 โ USD100 worth of $ZIL per valid suggestion |
Feature Suggestion | USD5 โ USD100 worth of $ZIL per valid suggestion |
Be specific when providing suggestions! They should be actionable by the team and not high-level general suggestions. You may cross-check for existing bug reports and UI/features here.
The following suggestions will be out of scope:
Adding of tokens
Integration with other blockchain networks
Integration with other wallets
Adding new FAQs and tutorials
Adding of social media information
For this beta testing, you will be asked to test out transferring tokens from the Ethereum network to the Zilliqa network and vice versa via the ZilBridge. In order to do that, you will need to: (i) have both your Zilliqa and Ethereum-compatible web3 wallets ready as extensions on your web browser (refer to Supported Wallets for a list); and (ii) get relevant Testnet tokens (refer to guide below).
Step 1: Head to ZIL Faucet (https://dev-wallet.zilliqa.com/faucet)
Step 2: Enter your ZIL address in the field below and press "run faucet" to receive your Testnet ZIL tokens.
Step 3: Please allow for a few minutes for the Testnet ZILs to be deposited into your wallet. Ensure that you are on "Testnet" to view your newly received ZIL tokens.
Refer to the images below to learn how to change to the Testnet network on your ZilPay wallet.
Step 1: Head to any of the following Ropsten Ethereum Faucets to start:
Option 1: Dimensions Network rETH Faucet (https://faucet.dimensions.network)
Option 2: Ropsten Ethereum Faucet (https://faucet.ropsten.be)
Step 2: Enter your Ethereum address in the field below to receive your Testnet ETH tokens.
Step 3: Please allow for a few minutes for the Testnet ETH to be deposited into your wallet. Ensure that you are on the "Ropsten Test Network" to view your newly received ETH token.
Step 1: Head to ZilSwap (https://zilswap.io/swap).
Step 2: Ensure that you are connected to the Testnet Network on ZilSwap. You may double-check by looking at the network on the bottom left of the menu.
Step 3: Select ZWAP as the token you wish to swap to and enter the desired amounts as usual.
Step 1: Head to UniSwap (https://app.uniswap.org/#/swap).
Step 2: Ensure that you are connected to the Ropsten Network on UniSwap. You may double-check by looking at the network on the top right of the screen.
Step 3: Select DAI as the token you wish to swap to and enter the desired swap amount as per normal. You will be prompted to add DAI to your Metamask wallet at this stage. Please proceed to add it to your wallet if you've not done so.
You can now begin to move DAI from the Ethereum network to the Zilliqa network.
You're now all set and can proceed to try out the ZilBridge on zilswap.io/bridge! Video tutorials are available in the section below if you would like to see an end-to-end walkthrough before you begin testing.
Please ensure that you have both Zilliqa and Ethereum web3 wallets ready before beginning the bridging process. If you've not previously installed the extensions, please refer to Supported Wallets.
Ensure that both your wallets are connected to the Testnet networks:
Your ZilPay wallet that is connected to ZilSwap will be your default receiving Zilliqa wallet shown on the ZilBridge UI.
